I highly recommend Karen Twight as a tutor for your kids. My two sons have been seeing Karen for the last three years and they have made amazing progress at school with her help. Their self esteem has improved along with their ability to try new things at school without shutting down like they used to. My oldest son struggles in math and she has helped him become more proficient and his ability to remember math concepts has improved with her guided care. My other son struggles in reading and she has been able to identify what he is struggling in and makes specialized work for his needs. Our son was struggling with school work for a few years and when we could not seem to help him we looked for recommendations for a tutor. We were fortunate to get a great recommendation from a co-worker of my husbands.
When I reached out to Karen, she was pretty full and busy with her full time job but she was willing to meet with myself and my son to assess him. My son and Karen hit it off right away and we are so blessed to still have Karen tutoring him after about 2.5yrs now. Karen is amazingly patient and really cares for the child that she is working with.
She has tested my son multiple times to assess the progress he has made and new work to add to his plan. She has attended meetings with me at my sons school in the attempt for more help in his classroom. Karen really cares about helping and being there for the child. She takes a special interest for the child to do well. Any chance that I get I recommend her because she is amazing and knows how to work well with children. Karen Twight has been an amazing tutor for our special needs daughter. She came to Karen at (12 yrs?) Our daughter has epilepsy and has auditory processing problems, speech problems, dyslexia, to name a few. Karen got her reading any book she wants to read and she can now write to some degree. I am not sure how we would have managed without her. I highly recommend her if your want your child to excel in reading, writing and math.

We seriously cannot say enough good things about Karen and her One on One Tutoring service. She just has a way with our kids, and instantly connected with them.
They feel safe and loved, and we, as parents, adore her relationship with them. She teaches and reinforces concepts in ways they understand and it just helps to embed concepts in their brains. She goes above and beyond in each session and doesn’t allow them to get off track. She knows when to challenge and push a little more, and also recognizes when they’re maxed out. My son saw Karen for many years. In the beginning, she helped my son with reading speed, fluency and comprehension. My son liked going to her so much that he kept going as he got older to get help with homework and work with her on writing assignments.
